Clare (she/her) is a digital strategist located, as of recently, in Portland, Maine.
SAY HELLO
Clare has never really understood why people write their bios in the third person, but according to her research, this time and place might just warrant it. So here we are:
Clare is a strategist, born and bred. While at Santa Clara University, she quickly latched onto the whimsical yet tactical executions of David Ogilvy, Lee Clow, and the likes. Like any logical (read: completely naive yet determined) college student, she became dead set on working for one single ad agency, finagled a job there, and spent her first few professional years learning the inner workings of ad powerhouse Ogilvy & Mather.
Since that tremble-in-your-shoes kind of first day on the job, she has worked as a branded content strategist for partners like AMEX, DuPont, and the BBC. She has worked as a social & digital strategist for Starbucks, BudLight, Aflac, and Maybelline (to name a few). She worked on the new business and emerging technology teams while at VaynerMedia.
Then she went ahead and turned all her marketing beliefs upside down by stepping into the performance publishing space with System1.
Moral of this tiny sliver of her story? Clare quickly learned that no better magic happens than when art and science combine.
